For those unfamiliar, Rock River Arms makes its 1911s. makes pistols the old school way; they make customized hand, custom double stack1911 pistols. In terms of how they build their guns, as well as pricing, they are more in the same league as Dan Wesson, not Sig Sauer, Springfield Armory, or Colt.
The 3G-11, which may be renamed at some point, is a fully competitive pistol with a 2011. style stainless steel slide and bezel. If you want bells and whistles, you'll find them. Forward and reverse slide serrations, Novak-style sights, ambidextrous safety levers, raised beavertail safety with memory notch, frame trigger and hammer, and flared magwell for easy reloading.
This device is designed to send multiple banks, not for concealed carry, so know what you're getting into. The final price is still unknown, but after talking to their guy Steve at the SHOT Show booth...I'm expecting around $1,500. Again, not cheap, but the build quality alone is worth the price of admission.
